In early 2020, artist / producer Miraj commissioned NRTHSTR™ to create artwork for his new album ‘Blue & Yellow’. After discussing his intentions for the project, Miraj sent us an early copy of the album for inspiration and explained he wanted to give creative freedom while designing the cover.

‘Blue & Yellow’ instrumentation and lyrics played well into the album’s title, which heavily influenced the design of the cover. The album felt like a moment of calm but warm reflection. After showing Miraj drafts of the cover, we believed the “cloud gazing” illustration represented those characteristics of the album.

After final approval, color palettes, fonts, and the album’s art work were then used to design physical packaging for CDs and records as well as a four piece capsule collection inspired by the album.
